I was born in London and grew up by the sea in Dorset in south west England. I've worked mostly in London and Paris for my whole career and have been a TV, print and online journalist, presenter and producer at the BBC, France24, Monocle and various magazines including Campaign. I've also spent time on the other side working for companies on their brand and communication strategies.

I have a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and an MBA from INSEAD in France. I did my journalism training at City University in London.

A lot of my reporting has been on business and economics but I now report mostly on the creative industries - advertising, design and branding - and am a frequent contributor and writer on the topic. I also enjoy corporate work - hosting conferences, facilitating workshops and communications consultancy.
